Conditioning your shoe with cream provides much needed nourishment to the leather. Over time, the leather dries up, and the cream helps it to recover. It also brings the original color of the shoe before waxing. Conditioning your shoe often (depending on how often it’s worn), will go a long way to maintain the leather . It is also important to know that regardless of how often a shoe is worn, the leather must be nourished in order to prevent it from breaks often caused by dryness of the leather. Subsequently, whether it’s worn or not, it must be conditioned as follows:
- With a clean lint-free cloth gently dust your shoes;
- Apply the cream with your selvyt cloth wrapped around a finger or two;
- Apply evenly and thoroughly;
- Allow it to dry; and
- Buff it with a horsehair shoe brush.
